Did you have a chance to ride it with the drop seat before tear down?

Yes, they are kewl metal trees, just repackaged by Ness.

Haven't received the drop seat kit yet. I had them paint the side panels and I ordered them just prior to the holidays. FBI is very upfront about stating that it will take 4-6 weeks.

It looks pretty low because the Arnott 9.5" shocks don't have any air yet.

Are you doing the Drop Seat just for the look?

I'm 6'2" with a long torso so I am doing everything I can to sit farther back. I get pretty sore with the stock configuration after 2-3 hours. The PYO Monkey bars will probably be the best bang for the buck with respect to ergonomics. The FBI side panels in the standard drop seat kit are also kind of a stop gap measure until I stretch the tank and do some sort of custom paint.

Bike looks good so far, I'm curious to know what you plan to do with the rear wheel. I'm going to do streched bags soon and am trying to decide if I should chrome my current wheel, or do something like the Yaffe smoothie, you won't be able to see anything but the bottom rim, so the design doesn't seem too important.

I'm already $5 grand over my originally planned budget (thanks to this web site) so I'm not going to do anything soon. If I were to buy something now, the Yaffe smoothie would be my pick also...
