Just Another Home Garage Built Black StreetGlide (part deux)

This is a continuation of the build last year: http://choppedbaggers.com/forums/sho...ck-StreetGlide

I know its a little late to be starting this, but I hope to have it done before it really warms around here. It was toooo damn cold to work in the unheated garage in Jan & Feb, so I got a late start in March. Ive been collecting parts all winter and talk about project creep! The scope of this winters project snow-balled because of all of you on this forum with bad-ass bikes. Ill never be able to keep up, but I try to incorporate the mods I can afford (yeah right) and think I need the most. I had originally planned to just add Tri-Glide Trees to my existing 21 setup and add front air ride. Heres the new list:

    - Tri-Glide *7 Trees
    - 23 SMT Front Wheel
    - 23 Baddad FL Fender
    - Convert to single disc using HHI 6-piston Caliper
    - Native Custom Baggers Angled/Pointed Slider Covers
    - 13 LA Choppers 1-1/4 Prime Apes (wired internal)
    - Convert to Hydraulic Clutch and newer Brake Master (plumbed internal)
    --- V-Rod Master
    --- Performance Machine Actuator
    - Route main wiring harness, throttle cables, air and hydraulic lines through the backbone
    - Add Rear Brembo caliper
--- Compliment the 180 conversion - make wheel/ brake changes easier
    - K&N (Heavy Breather like) Air Cleaner with Yaffe Filter Fairing
    - Dirty Bird Big Baller Windshield
    --- Customized Fastaire Windshield Trim
    - Complete Front/Rear Air Ride Redo
    --- Marcs Air Pistons (front)
--- Gabriel (rear) with LA Choppers 1 lowering block and custom stops if needed
    --- Viair 380C
    --- SMC Valves
--- Custom built front/rear 4-button air ride switch on bars (left housing)
--- Dual 24oz Air Tanks with custom bolt-on under bag mounts

A big thanks to all the awesome members and vendors on here that have answered my numerous questions and cut me some great deals on new and gently used parts: Marc/Zach/Slothy/SlowBagger/jetlag/drgnit/ChoppedRoadie/Xtreme77mopar/roadglide 30/metalmaniac/DAPERFORMANCE/ScrubCycles/Native Custom Baggers/Wanna Ride and others... And for my Bro and partner in crime MOTRHD, mum's the word! LOL

I'll try to post progress pics along the way.

Finally starting to make some progress on phase 2 of the build...

Got the new Brembo rear 2-piece caliper set for install with custom spacers to be used with the 18X180 rear wheel/tire, should definitely make future rear wheel removals a lot easier!

    rear_spacers.jpg

Drilled access holes to run wiring harness, throttle cables, air lines, and hydraulic clutch line through the backbone.

Got the forks disassembled to install Marc's air pistons, and have the right side caliper mount removed and re-powder coated.

    7* Trike Trees installed

Forks reassembled with air pistons installed, right caliper mount removed.

Frontend reassembled to check clearance. I need some feedback from guys with front air whether I have enough fender to fairing skirt clearance? I used external travel limiters (the HD rubber steering stop donuts). After compressing the suspension with ratchet straps I have about 3/16 fender clearance, not sure if that is enough if I lose air while riding?

    3/16 clearance is about perfect
