So here is what I'm starting with. 2012 Victory Cross Country. Salvage. Picked it up for a song. Plan is a Champion Trike kit and using the 23 off my other Vic that I went to a 26. Will be using a Vic Baggers Upper Frame and rake kit for a 26. Should give me my added rake to make it steer better. Will be doing all the possible power upgrades also. Timing wheel, Cams Power commander etc. Prob will do a minimum of rear air but want to get it together and riding first. Ill most likely have to go with narrower rear tires and may hade to change the offset. We will see.

Cripes, here we go with the sideways pictures. Damn apple! If any of the mods can fix this it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

So here I've pulled all the crap off the back and installed the new trike frame. Bike has ABS and trike manufacturer just gives you plugs to plug the two rear lines. Stupid really so just pulling all the abs crap and going standard.

Cool project Dan. Don't know much about Vics. Does anyone make actual cam upgrades for that motor, or is the timing wheel the only real valve train performance option?

Nice. Looks like a cool project. I really like the Vic's all done up.
A Vic Trike is gonna be solid.

Lloyds makes a drop in set and a HM1 set that requires clearance. They cal the HM's touring cams as they really only provide minimal gains in the short run. Cams, power commander (with a canned map), Lloyds air filer and timing wheel will net you around 110-115HP without a dyno tune. Dyno it and you'll hit 120. All for around 2K depending on how much you do yourself or farm out. The visions have seen better gains due to how the air filter and intake is set up. I'm adding a Vic Baggers upper frame piece. It has been redesigned to take advantage of better intake runners. The moved the intake aimed forward to more like a Vision and claim anywhere from 5-10 HP just making that mod. The stock intake sits under the tank aiming up and is blocked somewhat by its location under the gas tank.

So I blew out the seal on my lift. Had to run into Phoenix to DCI to get a new seal kit. NICE showroom!

so when you say "upper frame piece" - does the backbone unbolt from the frame?

Yes. The backbone unbolts from the engine. The engine is stressed member. There is also a Tail piece the holds the rear fender, shock and swing arm. Two frame pieces bolt to the lower front of the engine for the battery and hold the cowling. Engine is unit construction with only 7 gaskets. Very well designed.

That's pretty awesome stuff. I might have to look into one in the future

Love the Vic's. My friend owns our local dealer and he sells them as fast as he can get them. Does a lot of 26" kits before they leave the showroom. And they ride soooooo smooth

Thanks guys.

I think I figured out the flipped picture problem. If you post from your computer (Apple) and pull the picture out of iPhoto and place it on the desktop before you post it it will post correctly. for those doing it from phones you're still screwed. Haha

a little progress and at a stand still again.

Well a couple more updates. Got the battery box and brake rotors so proceeded to assemble the front end. It just seems that i keep running into obstacles.

Latest hangup;

Using Witchdoctors powder coated bars. https://buywitchdoctors.oursafeserve...-style-sc-608/
They are 1.015 at the grips.

using SMT's Silencer Assassin grips. http://www.smtmachining.com/custom-v...ssin-grips.htm
Which are 1.0 ID.

Dammit, always an issue!
